About Young Professionals
Habitat Young Professionals is a diverse group of young professionals that offers a combination of social networking, community outreach, and event fundraising in support of the New Castle County affiliate. HYP members are encouraged to become ambassadors for the Habitat cause, transitioning into prominent contributors on the Board of Directors and in their communities if they so choose.

Are there any age or career requirements to join HYP?
HYP is generally targeted towards individuals in their 20’s through early 40’s; however there are no age restrictions. HYP has members from many different career fields, employers, and seniority levels. We invite anyone interested in HYP to participate, even those “young at heart”.
What is the relationship between HYP and Habitat for Humanity?
Habitat Young Professionals (HYP) of New Castle County work closely with our local affiliate, Habitat for Humanity of New Castle County, to coordinate volunteers, resources, and donations to best achieve our mutual mission of building simple, decent, and affordable housing in New Castle County.
What is the time commitment if I join HYP?
HYP of New Castle County has opportunities for various levels of interest and commitment. Members are asked to volunteer a minimum of two volunteer events, attend a minimum of two regular monthly meetings, participate in one fundraising activity, and attend social events. For anyone interested in investing more time, further involvement is always appreciated.
Is there a membership fee to join HYP?
HYP members are required to pay a flat fee of $20 annually to be considered a member. You can pay your dues here.
When are the meetings?
General Membership Meetings are held on the 2nd Monday of every month from 6pm-8pm at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore of New Castle County located at 3312 Seminole Ave., Wilmington, DE 19808.
