Habitat for Humanity of NCC ReStore Extends Hours-Again!
(Wilmington, DE) – On Tuesday, February 2, Habitat for Humanity of NCC (HFHNCC) ReStore announced it had extended its store hours--again! A little more than a year after the store moved to its new, larger location in the Cornell Business Park off of Rogers Road, Habitat’s resale shop now has an even greater opportunity to serve the public. The new location has drawn more customers, more merchandise, and more space with which to view merchandise. Upon leaving the Habitat Center’s warehouse in the Spring of 2008, the store went from being open three days per week (Wednesday, Friday and Saturday) to five days (Tuesday-Saturday). The store remained open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. as it had been while at the warehosue. However, the newly expanded store hours will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday – Friday, and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays.

Added Kevin Smith, Executive Director, HFHNCC, “This is an exciting move for our Habitat ReStore. Since 2004, our ReStore has grown in size and scope, with the generosity of our ReStore donors, and our loyal customers. Combined with the recent move, these extended hours will offer the community more opportunities to shop. We believe that this move will further expand our business, while raising more revenue for Habitat for Humanity of NCC’s house building operations.”

Proceeds of the Habitat ReStore directly contribute to Habitat for Humanity of NCC’s mission to build affordable housing with local families in need. There are Habitat ReStores throughout the country, in nearly all 50 states; each is governed by the local Habitat for Humanity affiliate. This is the only Habitat ReStore in New Castle County, and the largest in Delaware.
