Building, Biking, and More - Spring Fundraisers Underway!

Habitat for Humanity of New Castle County is more than a homebuilding organization. We’re a community builder! From building to biking, Habitat’s fundraisers offer something for every member of the family.

Our Annual Dinner will be held in April again. This year’s event will be a ticketed event to celebrate 24 years of building houses with local families and to honor the commitments of our volunteers. Mark your calendars for April 15th at Cavaliers Country Club, 100 Addison Drive, Newark, DE 19702, 6 pm – 9 pm. Tickets are $35 per person or $60 per couple. Purchase tickets online here

Returning for another year, the Habitat's Women Build Committee's annual "Red, White & Brew" wine & beer tasting + silent auction is set for Thursday, May 6th at Brantwyn Mansion, 600 Rockland Road, Wilmington, DE. Tickets are $50 in advance or $55 at the door. Register with a credit card online here.
Some of the available items up for auction include:
* Golf Foursome including carts courtesy of Deerfield Golf & Tennis Club
* Four weekly dance lessons in a group program (For singles or a couple)
* Two Night Stay at Harrah’s Resort Hotel in Atlantic City
* $150 Starr Restaurant Gift Certificate
Simultaneously, the National Women Build Days were held over nine days! Lowe’s is the official sponsor of Habitat for Humanity International’s Women Build days.

As we move into summer, individuals and families are encouraged to join this year’s Bike to Build! ride. This year's cycling event will honor the late Rev. Chad Miller, who was an ardent supporter of Habitat's mission and goals. The community is encouraged to come out and ride in memory of Rev. Chad.
Scheduled for June 12th, the event's start/finish line has been moved to Tubman-Garrett Riverfront Park in Wilmington. Much of last year’s route through the Delaware Greenways remains the same. The Bike to Build! route consists of a 14 mile Family Ride, and a 25- and 50 mile ride. Click here for the online event registration. Our goal this year is to raise $125, 000--enough to build one house-- and draw 500 riders!
